Mission
Monitor manufacturing at WingTech and help mature Quality and process at WingTech
Be Thales ears and eyes on the ground in WingTech – Raise alerts to Thales Irvine when topics require further focus and investigation
Mandatory skills
Somebody with QA and QC experience
- Experienced with manufacturing process, assembly, inspection including shipping inspection
- Able to read, understand and witness implementation of a work instruction / SOP / rework (with inspection)
- Ability to lead/support RCCA
Somebody with Engineering experience/background:
- ability to read and understand drawings to be able to understand if a part/LRU complies with drawing
- Able to read and understand tests instructions and its corresponding report (e.g. ATP, HASS, Burn in)
Critical to have good communication and interpersonal skills needed to navigate relationships between Harman, WingTech, sub-tier, Thales.
Familiar with conformity

Responsibilities:
• Performs all tasks in area of responsibility in a timely manner to support the supplier quality/inspection system. Ensures all aspects of the delivered/finished article is manufactured in accordance with approved quality system requirements and is certified as compliant to type design requirements.
• Manages the compliance of supplier performance through the application of system, product, and process metrics.
• Responsible for ensuring timeliness and effectiveness monitoring of the supplier(s) Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process.
• Promotes the use of continuous improvement techniques and APQP principles at Suppliers to help them reduce variability and achieve process control.
• Develops key metrics and score card measures that accurately depict supplier health from a risk and performance perspective.
• Lead quality focus meetings to address supplier performance and to communicate progress.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
• Broad (8-10 years) experience in aerospace/manufacturing environment with a focus on supplier management or part quality or project management in engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, aviation sciences, quality systems, or a related field
• Fluency in English and Chinese (French is a plus)
• Good command of technical drawings
• Knowledge of problem resolution/root cause analysis (8D, etc.)
• Technical experience in operations, methods or engineering / quality methods and tools (8D, RCA, FMEA, …)
• Working knowledge of APQP principles and the ability to lead and train others related to the skillset.
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles (certification preferred)
• Familiar with AS 9100
• Excellent analytical skills
